Michael Omartian and Terry Christian dropped by the Music Business Radio studios today to talk about songwriting, production, engineering, and what makes records great.
The two have worked with dozens of top artists over the last 30+ years including Christopher Cross, Donna Summer, The Jacksons, Michael Bolton, Peter Cetera, Willie Nelson, Dionne Warwick, Rod Stewart, Kenny Loggins, Whitney Houston, Roberta Flack, The Commodores, and Amy Grant.
Michael got his start as a session musician, playing on and arranging recordings by Steely Dan, Tavares, Billy Joel, Dolly Parton, The Four Tops, The Righteous Brothers, Boz Scaggs, Tina Turner, John Lennon, Jackson Browne, and Linda Ronstadt.
Terry Christian has worked on recordings by Julio Inglesias, Sheila E, The Time, Kenny Rogers, Sammy Hagar, Chicago, Jermaine Jackson, Toto, LeAnn Rimes, Keith Urban, and Cher.
Needless to say, these guys know the music business...

Hello friends: My name is Arsene Cartier, and I fancy myself an unsigned songwriter. I have been too busy making a living over the last 50 years of my life and have thrown caution to the wind at age 62 and started writing country songs. Now that I have over 75 songs in my library website, I sure would appreciate some of you nice people to take a peek and maybe even let me know how I am doing. My latest song "Mr. President" would be a good start..lol.
Thanks for the ear.
