Kevin Kadish was in the Music Business Radio studios today. He started his career as a solo artist, opening for acts such as Hall and Oates, Jeff Beck, Dave Matthews Band, Everything, and SR-71.
After getting the attention of Matt Serletic, he was soon offered a staff songwriter position and, within a couple of weeks of moving to Los Angeles, was in the studio with Willie Nelson, teaching his songs to Willie's band.
Since that time, as a songwriter and producer, he's worked with dozens of top names including Stacie Orrico, Nikki Sixx, Rob Thomas, Jason Mraz, Bif Naked, Cheetah Girls, Taylor Hicks, Meat Loaf, Uncle Cracker, and Miley Cyrus.
This episode has LOTS of music business stories with advice on how great songs are created, what new artists should do when they get a record deal, and more. In addition, Kevin brought along several work tapes and demos from various artists he's worked with, including Meat Loaf and Jason Mraz.
This episode is currently being edited and will air soon. Until then, get on the podcast and check out the notes below...
