Lydia Hutchinson is the founder of Performing Songwriter magazine. We talk about how to start a business as a creative person, the ups and downs and keeping your company moving forward, the new music business, and what happens when the industry you're involved with changes. And, of course, we review music sent in from Music Business Radio listeners around the world.
Lydia is the author of the book "Letters from Lyria" and runs PerformingSongwriter.com, which is full of great stories and artists interviews.
For those not on the podcast...

Thanks for this. I live in Japan not too far from all the crisis so it's been a while since I downloaded. So good to be back in the swing of things.
I discovered this magazine probably in 1999 and have been a fan and subscriber ever since. I was surprised at the email to me from Performing Songwriter about the cancellation but it really showed me how the internet has changed everything, including the print industry.
I was happy to hear Lydia is doing well and it was fun to hear about how she got the magazine up and running.
Was hoping to hear more Dave's derby, but I understand when some people don't want to participate.
Thanks for doing what you do and doing it so well.
