The next episode of Music Business Radio features intimate chats with two great artists! David spends time with John McFee and Tom Johnston of the legendary Doobie Brothers and Dan and Gary talk with singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles!
The Doobie Brothers have sold over 30 million albums throughout their 40 year run in the music business. Their latest release, "World Gone Crazy", is their first new album in almost a decade. They’ll talk about their "typical" days, the songwriting process and what makes a good song, and their new album.
Sara Bareilles hit it big in 2007 with her single "Love Song" and has toured with bands such as Aqualung, Maroon 5, and James Blunt. Her current hit "King of Anything" earned Sara her highest debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (at #59). Sara will talk with us about songwriting, getting a record deal and what makes Nashville great. She'll also give advice to new artists and songwriters.
