Trisha McClanahan is VP of Marketing for Starstruck Entertainment, the Nashville based full service entertainment conglomerate founded by Reba McEntire and her husband, Narvel Blackstock. Trisha has been with the company since 1990 and is now co-manager for the American Idol popstar, Kelly Clarkson. Trisha also oversees all marketing and branding for Reba and Kelly as well as other artists and businesses managed by Starstruck.
This episode talks about driving the careers of established artists as opposed to new and upcoming artists, differences and similarities between the pop and country music industry, how artists find new songs, and how artists can have a long career.

Thank you for posting this interview. Lots of interesting things in it. It always amazes me how the country world and pop world are so different in the way that projects are approached. One thing in particular that I found interesting was how it was mentioned that they are trying to do it more in the Nashville way for Kelly's album, which isn't something people are used to in the pop world.
