Since their inception in January 2004, 3 Kisses has had an altruistic mission to support breast cancer education, research and treatment programs. Says front woman, Tish Meeks, "When Tony and I started 3 Kisses, we wanted the music to be about more than just 'us'. We wanted to use our talents and abilities to serve our community and breast cancer hits close to home for both of us. I lost my mother to the disease in 1989 and Tony's mother and step-mother are both breast cancer survivors. Melissa and AJ both have friends and family members affected by breast cancer, as well. In fact, I know very few people who have not been impacted by it in one way or another."
In November 2004, 3 Kisses had the pleasure of playing the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Austin, TX for almost 20,000 race participants. "Our first release, Wings, wasn't out yet," says Tony, "so we brought about 300 demos. The runners mobbed us when Tish made the announcement that we were giving away demos. They were gone in about 30 seconds." The response from the race participants was so overwhelming that Entertainment Chair, Beverly Kassman, extended an invitation to 3 Kisses to perform at the 2005 event. Thanks to Beverly's and Volunteer Coordinator, Lisa Feller's recommendations, 3 Kisses was given the opportunity by Sonya De Hoyos to entertain close to 20,000 runners again at this year's race on November 6.

Singer/composer Ella Blame from Wisconsin and composer/multi-instrumentalist Shinji Imai a.k.a. "mode complex" from Japan who have collaborated since 2000 to create mind-blowing music of styles Psychedelic Pop, Psychedelic Dance, and Outer Space Symphonic Music, have decided to publish their newest song, "Incurable", in full length on the Internet as a high-quality MP3 file.
The song "Incurable" will be published in the fall of 2006 on Ella Blame's second CD titled "Slippery Slope".
With her vocal cords, Ella can produce sounds that most music experts consider having been generated by a synthesizer or by post-processing equipment. However, Ella can produce these "strange" sounds without using a microphone.
"In fact, it wouldn't be too much of an exaggeration to say that Blame's voice is to a normal person's voice as Robert Patrick's shape-shifting Terminator was to the stolidly anthropomorphic Schwartzenegger model ..." - Jon Sobel, Blogcritics.org
Today the 'Mojo Fix' band announced the beginning of their 'Bands For Fans' campaign, and the release of the first of a series of Modern Rock albums, aimed to entertain Rock fans worldwide. To launch the campaign Mojo Fix is sharing a free 'EP' worth of new music with the public, including four songs from their just completed debut album 'Up The Dosage.' Their goal is to share with the world a new style of rock music that touches hearts and souls, and inspires life.
Mojo Fix was founded in 2002 by four creative musicians with a keen understanding of the state of Modern-Rock. The artists include: Heath Jones (vocals), Kristie Mottes (bass guitar), David Crisci (guitar, back-up vocals), and Joe Szwelnis (drums, back-up vocals).
Their passion for quality rock music, and the 'hits' of popular bands that have risen before them, both have helped influence the way they have mastered their art. Beginning with their debut album release "Up The Dosage" the band aims to pack several albums full of quality musicŠ music they believe marks the beginning of a new era in Modern-Rock.
Mojo Fix is kicking-off their 'Bands for Fans' campaign by releasing, free to the public, four songs from their new album, all worthy of airplay, all songs people are sure to enjoy. Later the band is planning live "low dough" shows including a line-up of solid rock bands, but with lower than average ticket prices.
On Sunday October 30th from 2 PM until 9 PM singer/songwriter Mindy McQ will join members of the Michael Stanley Band, The Glass Harp, Tin Huey, Commander Cody, The Outlaws, Damnation Of Adam Blessing and many other Northeast Ohio musicians that have come together to perform at the Cleveland Agora Theater in an effort to raise funds for the disaster victims of Katrina. All profits from the concert will go directly to the American Red Cross Hurricane 2005 Relief Fund.
Area recording artists and concert organizers Larry Sanders and Joe Morris will release NOMAD (Northeastern Ohio Musicians Against Disasters), a three CD compilation to benefit the victims of hurricane Katrina. The CD will feature artists Mindy McQ, The Sanders Brothers Band, The Glass Harp, Easy Street, Scott Alan, Westside Steve Simmons, Alex Bevan, 77 South, Jesse Sane, Robin Stone, and Color Wheel among others. The NOMAD Compilation CD will be available at the concert and at local music retailer The Record Exchange.
Southern California-based Velocity Code have signed a digital distribution agreement with Proper Talent Records and System Recordings through The Greenwich Music Group, Inc. for their self-titled debut album. All of the songs from the record (including their next singles "Reality" and "Bydz") are currently available at iTunes among other Internet retail outlets. Proper Talent is the company founded by the legendary DJ Rap. A vinyl distribution deal was also signed with New York-based Topline for "Reality"/"Bydz."
Velocity Code's newest singles were featured on the soundtrack of the September Films documentary "Single In South Beach," which aired on Showtime the entire month of August 2004. "Bydz" is an upbeat trance anthem (131 bpm) that features the vocals of Shaheen Sheik, while "Reality" (130 bpm) has evoked a magical feel for some listeners, sending them into another dance realm.
Comprised of talented producer/musicians Chad Gendason and Zach Grace and accompanied by an international array of vocalists, Velocity Code made an impact in the dance music world when their first single "Beautiful Outside" went to #32 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music Club Play chart. The song also received airplay on 75 local, nationally-syndicated and satellite radio mixshows including DMX, Sirius Satellite Radio, XM and others. The song was also the "second most-added track to nightclubs in the United States" according to DJ Times (12/15/03).
Britain 2005 is under going a renaissance in arts and sport, and thank God for that. We've been waiting since 1966 for some sporting pride to be returned to these green and pleasant isles and delivered it's been, now all that's needed is a second British music invasion in the States and the mission's complete!
Adding to this heady period of good times revisited in the UK is Kusha Deep's label favourites KU, who lit up the summer with the dub inspired Haunted Dancehall that is finding its way on to play lists across the world still,
Pulse Fm in the UK made it hot track of the week for two weeks running; it reached the top ten requested tracks on a Chicago based radio station and top 100 on RDU radio charts in New Zealand, even getting played by British Armed services broadcasting to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. With the follow up EP titled Heads UP the doors are about to open even further.
During the 4th Annual Dewey Beach Music Conference and Festival, 25 performers signed up for inclusion on DreamMakersMP3.com, an online music service for independent musicians operated by the Barber Shop Studios, a world-class recording facility located in Hopatcong, NJ. Members of the Barber Shop team, along with noted producers Jason Corsaro and Tony Fortuna, attended the festival, which featured approximately 175 music artists performing on 17 stages over a three-night span, to promote the site to musicians and music lovers.
"Since introducing DreamMakersMP3.com, we've attended various music festivals and shows in the Northeast to attract musicians and fans to the site," stated Scott Barber, owner of the Barber Shop Studios. "Our efforts over the past several months have helped generate substantial momentum, as more and more artists are posting music onto DreamMakersMP3.com and 2,000 new visitors to the site in September alone. With our success at the Dewey Beach Music Festival, we're sure to see additional traffic to the site."
With DreamMakersMP3.com, unsigned musicians can post their songs, videos, tour dates and photos to the website for free. Once visitors register, they can access the information posted on the site. It is the band's decision whether or not listeners will be able to download the creative work, or if they can listen through streaming files.
