How to Get Music Business Radio via iTunes

1. Open iTunes.

2. Select "Advanced" from the top menu bar and choose the "Subscribe to Podcast..." option.

3. Put "http://feeds.feedburner.com/MusicBusinessRadio" (without the quotes) in the URL box and click "OK."

4. The latest episode of Music Business Radio will automatically be downloaded to iTunes.

Music Business Radio at Atlantis Music Conference

Music Business Radio is On the Air

Still working on licensing issues, so I can't put up the entire show, but this is a section that will be of interest to indie musicians...

In the section, we play 90 seconds of music from demo packages we've received and then review it. This is done live, without anybody having heard the music beforehand, so it's a good indication of what happens when you send in an unsolicited demo.

New Show - Dez Dickerson

Dez Dickerson was in the Music Business Radio studios this week to talk about his time as lead guitarist and musical director for Prince, his A&R work since, and various other aspects of his career including production, songwriting, and artist development. Dez has been in the business for 30+ years and had a lot of great stories to tell, including the how Prince came up with the phone number 777-9311 for the Time song of the same name.

Rather than give you the play-by-play, I'd rather you just listen to the show yourself...

We're in the process of lining up syndication right now, so if you're interested in having this show in your market, I need to know. I've got a company who is handling the big stations, but I'm looking for the community stations, college stations, and low-power stations that they might be (and probably are) neglecting.

If you have a station playing a "local scene" show in your market, those are the kind of station we need to talk to. And if you've got a DJ in town that really supports local music, that's the kind of person we need to talk to.

Let me know the call letters, a phone number, and anything else you can about possible stations or people who might be interested in this show.
